What is a Consultant Observation and Feedback Visit?
A one-day onsite visit from a Responsive Classroom educational consultant is included in school and district packages or can be purchased separately. The educational consultant observes and provides feedback on the indicators of growth in the educators’ use of Responsive Classroom practices using Kaleidoscope. The consultant also observes and provides feedback on adult and student interactions in nonclassroom spaces like the cafeteria, hallways, and arrival/dismissal locations.
During the visit, the educational consultant completes the Kaleidoscope observations to create a school growth profile and provide customized recommended resources and solutions. The visit concludes with the consultant meeting with key leadership staff to review the school growth profile and make plans for ongoing growth and focused professional development, including selecting a Quick Coaching Guide package to support a focused growth area so school staff can further implement and grow with Responsive Classroom while planning for additional workshops and courses. A set of 30 Quick Coaching Guides, plus an implementation guide for a school leader, on one indicator is included in school and district packages.
