Responsive Classroom Professional Development
Learn to create a safe, joyful, and engaging learning environment ideal for student success and growth
Our interactive, engaging and thoughtfully designed Responsive Classroom courses prepare educators to create optimal learning environments where students can develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for success both in and out of school.
The Core Course introduces the Responsive Classroom practices that create positive, safe, engaging learning communities where educators are responsive to the developmental strengths and needs of elementary and middle school students. Educators learn strategies that help students develop the academic and social skills they need to thrive and be successful.
After successfully completing the The Core Course, we recommend taking The Advanced Course after you have had a full school year of implementing the Responsive Classroom approach with students. Your initial implementation experiences will be extremely valuable in the second half of this training.
The Advanced Course is designed to build on and expand the Responsive Classroom teaching strategies and practices learned in The Core Course. Educators engage in opportunities that help refine familiar practices and strategies already being used with students. Participants will also be introduced to new methods and strategies for supporting students’ social, emotional, behavioral and academic needs.
Courses are offered in person and virtually. Go to your desired event below and fill out our online form to register with credit card, PO, or check.
Please note: If a scheduled in-person event is unable to occur due to a change in local COVID-19 guidelines or restrictions, your registration will automatically be transferred to a virtual event for the same course, dates, and times. See FAQ for scheduling and other important information.
