Description & Goals:

Join us for a book launch party for Make Learning Meaningful: How to Leverage the Brain’s Natural Learning Cycle in K–8 Classrooms, a new resource from CRS Publishing. Author Kristen Vincent will share how this book can help K-8 educators bridge academic and social-emotional learning (SEL) gaps with a brain-based approach to sustaining student engagement. Learn how and why the natural learning cycle helps teachers design student-centered lessons that promote intrinsic motivation through goal-setting and reflection. Kristen will also share how the natural learning cycle can be used to teach discipline, academic skills and content, and SEL skills.

Participants will:

  • Learn about the three phases of the natural learning cycle
  • Explore this brain-based approach to sustaining student engagement
