Join us to discover how awareness of one’s own SEL strengths and needs, purposeful energizers and brain breaks, quiet time, and closing circle can work together to provide critical replenishment throughout the school day. Bonus: participants will have fun with hands-on opportunities to recharge by trying out some ideas themselves over the course of the webinar!

Our Panelists:
Ellie Cornecelli is a Lead Program Developer for the Fly Five curriculum for grades 5–8. She works with teachers and curriculum writers as both a facilitator and supervisor in creating all curriculum components for fifth through eighth grade. Ellie began her career in the DC metro area, teaching visual arts with the Responsive Classroom approach to PK–8 students for 15 years.
Anjail Kenyatta is a Lead Program Developer for the Fly Five curriculum for grades K through 4. She works with curriculum writers as a facilitator and supervisor to develop resources that will help educational stakeholders increase their awareness and engagement with social and emotional learning. Anjail began her teaching career with Chicago Public Schools, where she taught grades K–8 and worked as a school counselor and case manager for 17 years.
Susan Lattanzi Roser has been a leader in the field of education for the past 30+ years. Since 1995 she has been presenting Responsive Classroom workshops to teachers, administrators, and parents. One of Susan’s greatest accomplishments is the authoring of two award-winning books for teachers: Energizers! 88 Quick Movement Activities That Refresh and Refocus and 80 Morning Meeting Ideas for Grades K-2. Susan has always believed in the power of incorporating creativity and the arts into the child’s learning day and supports teachers around the nation in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate practices in their classrooms. Prior to being a consultant, Susan was a teacher for fifteen years in a wide range of early childhood, elementary, bilingual, and university classrooms. Susan resides in Connecticut with her two creative, loving boys, Will and Wes. Along with time spent with family, Susan enjoys piano, home renovation, and bird watching.
Kristen Vincent is a consultant for Center for Responsive Schools and has over 20 years of experience working in education. She began her teaching career as an educator at the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts. Kristen was also a classroom teacher for 10 years at the Newman Elementary School in Needham, Massachusetts, where she was first introduced to the Responsive Classroom approach during a summer workshop. She quickly developed a passion for Responsive Classroom teaching practices after experiencing the positive impact the approach had on her classroom community. Kristen is co-author of Closing Circles: 50 Activities for Ending the Day in a Positive Way and The Joyful Classroom: Practical Ways to Engage and Challenge ElementaryStudents, both published by Center for Responsive Schools. She holds a bachelor of science in education from Wheelock College and a master’s in special education from Simmons University. Kristen lives in Westborough, Massachusetts, with her daughter, and serves as an elected member of the Westborough School Committee.
