Responsive Classroom co-founder and author Chip Wood is floating a “trial balloon” over on his Yardsticks blog this month: he’s looking for parents who’d like to share questions about their children’s development, behavior, or school-related issues with him and readers of his blog. So far, he’s responded personally to each question that’s been asked.
Chip is the bestselling author of Yardsticks: Children in the Classroom, Ages 4-14, a book James Comer calls “an essential resource for educators and others who work with children.” Now in its 3rd edition, Yardsticks is also the basis for our child development pamphlets, used by many schools to help parents learn more about the child development.
Now, Chip is testing the waters to see if there’s enough interest from parents to dedicate a section of his blog to resources just for them. If this idea appeals to you, now is the time to let him know! [Update: in 2010, we added a new "just for parents" area to Chip's Yardsticks blog.]
Please help spread the word!
