The Elementary Advanced Course is designed to increase your knowledge and expand your teaching strategies and practices to strengthen the Responsive Classroom approach you’re already using. In this four-day, interactive training course, you will learn new methods and strategies including:
- Engaging Academics: Teacher Language, Open-ended Questions, Academic Choice, and Guided Discovery. We’ll also cover the Language of Learning, including core thinking, speaking and listening skills.
- Effective Management: Classroom Organization, as well as Effective Behavior Management tools such as Problem-Solving Conferences and Role-Play.

Meet the Presenters
Kristina currently serves as principal of an elementary school in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. During her 18-year educational career, she has been a 2nd grade teacher, Educator Effectiveness coach, and professional development facilitator. Kristina embraces innovative and results-based facilitation of learning for all and as a member of the Innovative Schools Network Board, she looks to support the many innovative learning opportunities that happen every day in schools across our nation.
Earl Hunter II
Earl is an elementary teacher in North Hollywood California, with nearly 30 years’ experience educating children (dating back to his time working at his family’s daycare center in Los Angeles). He is most passionate about making connections with students and colleagues and believes deeply in the power of developing positive community. Earl aims to inspire, empower, and transform teachers to understand the power and balance of academic, social, and emotional learning.
Elizabeth currently works in Minneapolis as a social-emotional learning coach and an instructional coach at a diverse International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school where she coaches teachers about the importance of building authentic relationships with students and applying the principles and practices of Responsive Classroom to all students everywhere, every day. Elizabeth has over 20 years of educational experience and over 15 years of experience as a RC consulting teacher.
