Profile

Greetings fellow colleagues! I have been a Responsive Classroom consultant since 1998 and just thrive in my work with teachers across the nation.

One of my proudest accomplishments for Northeast Foundation for Children (NEFC) is the authoring of the book, Energizers! I am so excited to know that teachers and children are finding playful ways to strengthen their brains and bodies through these quick movement activities during the school day.

My latest project has been 80 Morning Meeting Ideas for Grades K–2.

Prior to joining NEFC, I was a classroom teacher for fifteen years in grades PreK–3. I have also taught college courses in early childhood education and in music and movement.

When not traveling to schools or writing for NEFC, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two wonderful boys in CT. We enjoy dog-sledding with our Alaskan Malamutes, being inventive and creative, and being active outdoors. I look forward to more adventures in life—both with family and colleagues!
