I have been teaching for over twenty years at a variety of elementary grade levels.  My family has moved a number of times, so I've had the pleasure of living in many beautiful places in this fine country.  I grew up in Buffalo, NY and lived in Ohio, Maine, and Arizona.  I currently live and work in Phoenix, Arizona.  We simply love living the desert southwest, and plan to stay here forever. 

I am a fifth grade educator in Paradise Valley, Arizona and have had a passion for building social-emotional completencies in children throughout my career.  Early on I was inspired by Jack Canfield's work of building self-esteem in children.  I learned about Responsive Classroom in 2000 and have been teaching using the RC approach since then. 

Over the past four years, I have worked toward becoming a Responsive Classroom Consulting Teacher.   I excitedly look forward to training and mentoring fellow teachers who are learnng about the Responsive Classroom approach.

I live in Fountain Hills, Arizona with  my husband, Gary, and two furry canine friends, Gracie and Henney.  Together we have five grown sons, most of whom live on the west coast.  I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and children, travel and gardening.
