I am a Responsive Classroom Consultant, and have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades in Connecticut and New Hampshire.

I wrote the third, fourth, and fifth grade books in the What Every Teacher Needs to Know K–5 Series. I am also the author of The Well-Balanced Teacher and the co-author of The Research-Ready Classroom.

I am currently a Responsive Classroom Consultant. In this role, get to do a little bit of everything: presenting, consulting, writing, research, professional development, and program development. I am currently doing a lot of work around how to help schools and districts begin and sustain high quality Responsive Classroom implementation.

I currently live in Durham, New Hampshire with my wife, Heather, and my children, Ethan and Carly.
