Since 1983, thousands of teachers have learned to use Responsive Classroom® strategies through our professional development services. These teachers are getting results: motivated students with strong academic performance, respectful and friendly student behavior, more time on task, more time on learning, and lower rates of referral for discipline problems.

We offer trainings throughout the year for teachers and administrators interested in learning about the Responsive Classroom approach. We can also provide these and other services on-site in your school or district.

Here’s an overview of our current offerings:

On-Site Services

Trainings - We also offer one-day workshops and week-long institutes in your school or district. The content is the same as that of the advertised workshops and institutes. On-site training can be more cost effective.

Follow-Up Consultation - After staff from a school have attended a week-long institute, we’ll provide follow-up services, from demonstration lessons to review workshops.

Schoolwide Implementation

Once a number of teachers in a school or district are implementing the Responsive Classroom approach, there is often a desire to incorporate Responsive Classroom principles, tools, strategies, and structures schoolwide. We offer a range of services to help do this.

Schoolwide Consultation — We work with your school and base our offerings on your specific needs.

Support for School Leaders — We also offer training and support for school leaders who are engaged in implementing Responsive Classroom strategies.

Responsive Classroom Schools Conference — This is a one-and-a-half-day conference focused on the schoolwide implementation of the Responsive Classroom approach. Participants learn what schoolwide implementation looks like and hear other schools’ successes and challenges. Registration for this year's conference will open on April 7, 2008.
