There are a number of possibilities that follow a weeklong institute and increase understanding and implementation of Responsive Classroom practices. A consulting teacher can design this follow-up based on a school’s specific needs. Some of the common uses of follow-up visits are:

• Classroom observation

• Demonstration lessons (e.g., Morning Meeting, Guided Discovery)

• Classroom coaching

• Mini-workshops to review Responsive Classroom components

• Communication with school leaders to support teachers’ Responsive Classroom practice

The cost for a follow-up consultation is $1500 per consulting teacher per day, plus expenses.
