Our schoolwide model is grounded in thirty years of experience showing that the Responsive Classroom approach works best when all the adults in a school understand and use the same strategies. The Level I schoolwide package includes the following suite of services and resources:

Responsive Classroom I

A Responsive Classroom consultant will come to your school and lead up to thirty participants in 4½ days of professional development exploring and modeling key Responsive Classroom teaching practices with a focus on building classroom community and establishing positive discipline. Topics covered include:

• Morning Meeting
• Rule Creation
• Interactive Modeling
• Positive Teacher Language
• Responding to Misbehavior

Each participant will receive a resource book and a copy of the Responsive Classroom Assessment (RCA) which will help them identify their strengths as Responsive Classroom teachers and target areas for further reflection and growth.

Two Workshop Days

A consultant will return to your school for two consecutive days:

• Responsive Classroom Team Workshop: Prepares your school's designated Responsive Classroom team for their critical role in successful implementation of the Responsive Classroom approach (5–8 members, including the principal).
• Support Staff/Specialists Workshop: Provides these critical members of your school community with basic knowledge of Responsive Classroom practices.

Ongoing Consultation

A consultant will check in with you regularly by telephone and email during the school year to address questions and issues that arise, and to help you accomplish successful schoolwide implementation.

Responsive Classroom Resource Library

A collection of 27 extraordinary print and video resources that will support your teachers in successfully implementing core Responsive Classroom practices in the classroom.

Responsive Classroom Schools Conference

Our national conference is a forum for administrators and teacher leaders to gather to share ideas and questions, successes, and challenges on the road to schoolwide implementation of the Responsive Classroom approach. One free registration to this conference is included in our schoolwide package; schools are encouraged to send a team.
