How to order

We accept only MasterCard and Visa for online orders. Our online store uses uses PCI-compliant Authorize.Net payment gateway to process your credit card information securely. We will not store your credit card information.

Call 800-360-6332, ext. 125, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET. We accept MasterCard and Visa for phone orders. 

Use our toll-free fax number: 877-206-3952. Be sure to include your completed order form and payment information. We accept purchase orders and credit card payments via fax.

Purchase orders

Please mail, fax, or e-mail purchase orders to us with our order form. Purchase orders cannot be processed online. See a one-page list of all titles.

Shipping and handling

United States

Standard shipping is free for all orders to the United States (including AK and HI), U.S. territories, and U.S. military bases.

International Destinations

Online international orders are shipped via USPS, and shipping rates are calculated by weight and drawn live from the USPS API. CRS is not responsible for import duties, taxes, or fees.

When will my order arrive?

Most orders in the United States arrive 10–15 days after you place your order. Allow additional time for all other orders. Rush processing is available for most orders.

Rush processing

Rush processing costs $10 extra and is available for product orders shipped within the United States and U.S. territories. When you choose rush processing, your order will ship from our Massachusetts warehouse on the next business day, usually via UPS Ground. Most rush orders arrive 2–6 business days after the order is placed, depending on location. (See the Rush Processing chart below for details about delivery to your state.) Rush processing is not applicable to registrations.

Quantity discounts

We offer a 10% discount whenever you buy 5 or more copies of an item. Discounted prices are listed at the bottom of each item’s description and are calculated automatically for online orders.

Sales tax

Massachusetts residents must add 6.25% tax to the subtotal of their orders. All shippable products are taxable; rush processing is not. Organizations and individuals that are tax-exempt in Massachusetts: please do not order resources online, because sales tax will be automatically applied to your order. Instead, please fax or mail your order along with proof of your tax-exempt status.


You may return items for up to 180 days (6 months) from the date of shipment. We accept returns of only current, saleable editions purchased directly from us. When returning an item, please be sure to:

  • Enclose a copy of our invoice.
  • Send the package prepaid via a traceable carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx Ground, or Media Mail with delivery confirmation).

Professors who have adopted (or are considering) Center for Responsive Schools publications for courses enrolling 10 or more students can request complimentary examination/desk copies. Please see Examination and Desk Copies for more information and to submit requests.
