Registering for Workshops & Institutes

Each year we offer one-day workshops and week-long institutes in locations nationwide. These courses are open to all elementary educators, although some have prerequisite course requirements.

We also present our courses on-site for schools and districts. For more information about that, see Schools & Districts. Registration information and forms for our annual conference are available in the Responsive Classroom Leadership Conference area of this website.

How to register

1. Phone registration
   Using a credit card? The easiest way to register is to call us at 800-360-6332, ext. 130. We accept MasterCard and Visa. Please call between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET.
    
2. Faxed registration
   Using a purchase order? Fax it to 877-206-3952 us with your completed registration form (week-long form / one-day form).
    
3. Online registration
   We accept MasterCard and Visa only for online registration. The billing address associated with your credit card must be in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Our online store uses PCI-compliant Authorize.Net payment gateway to process your credit card information securely. We will not store your credit card information.
   
   PLEASE NOTE: Online registration is a two-step process. The first step is to secure space at the location of your choice. Then, once you've purchased that space and received an order number, you must complete our participant information form. (You will be prompted to do so after your credit card is charged.)
    
4. Mailed registration
   Mail your completed registration form (week-long form / one-day form) and payment information to:

Purchase orders

Please mail or fax purchase orders to us with our order form. Purchase orders cannot be processed online. For purchase orders, shipping and handling is 5% of the subtotal (with a minimum charge of $5). See a one-page list of all titles.

When will my order arrive?

Most orders in the United States arrive 10–15 days after you place your order. Allow additional time for all other orders. Rush processing is available for most orders.

Rush processing

Rush processing costs $10 extra and is available for product orders shipped within the United States and U.S. territories. When you choose rush processing, your order will ship from our Massachusetts warehouse on the next business day, usually via UPS Ground. Most rush orders arrive 2–6 business days after the order is placed, depending on location. (See the Rush Processing chart for details about delivery to your state.) Rush processing is not applicable to registrations.

Quantity discounts

We offer discounts on NEFC publications when you buy in quantity. The discount is 15% off 5–49 copies of any one title, and 20% off 50 copies or more of a single title. Discounts do not apply to Responsive Classroom professional development kits or to products from other publishers. Quantity discounts are calculated automatically for online orders.

Sales tax

Massachusetts residents must add 6.25% tax to the subtotal of their orders. All shippable products are taxable; rush processing is not. Organizations and individuals that are tax-exempt in Massachusetts: please do not order resources online, because sales tax will be automatically applied to your order. Instead, please fax or mail your order along with proof of your tax-exempt status.

Returns

You may return items for up to 180 days (6 months) from the date of shipment. We accept returns of only current, saleable editions purchased directly from us. When returning an item, please be sure to:

• Enclose a copy of our invoice.
• Send the package prepaid via a traceable carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx Ground, or Media Mail with delivery confirmation).
