Child Development Matters

Explore child-centered teaching strategies that get more from the Common Core. This one-day workshop shows you how to adjust your teaching according to the developmental needs of your students. Tackle curriculum standards successfully by:
- Connecting child development theory with your instructional practices
- Exploring developmentally appropriate standards-based lessons
- Working with colleagues at your grade level to plan how you'll apply what you've learned
The workshop was developed in collaboration with Chip Wood, co-founder of Northeast Foundation for Children and author of Yardsticks: Children in the Classroom Ages 4–14.
Tuition is $219 and includes a copy of Yardsticks and a sample set of the Yardsticks Child Development Pamphlets. Learn more about what to expect.
